I hear everyone talking about removing the air box for better breathing of the carbs. Does that work good because my 1991 Gsxr1100 has air tubes that come from the front of the bike and I would think it makes like a ram air affect. SO if I put K&n filters that would work better than the stock air box???

Thanks

The tubes supply 1)some cool air to the airbox (which has a rearward facing hole as well, ie not pressurized) and 2) cool air over the head.

Forget the ram air effect vis a vis your model. Too much work to accomplish, plus the box is too small.

You can get excellent results with the individual filters on your model, BUT, have access to dynotuning. Also, when oiling the filters, run the beast for awhile prior to putting it on the dyno so that any excess oil gets 'removed' and doesn't alter the flow.
