how does the new 750 stack up to the 99srad750...i know the rider is the most important factor but if the same rider had both bikes then what?...+what is the stock(real world)hp and torque(since hp is a fake calculated number and torque is a measured figure) of both of these generations...again real world stock figures not brochure figures...

thnx in advance

also how does the same generations 600s and 1000s stack up(i know the 1000s didnt go back that far).........extremely curious

A 99 750 is more comparable to a 04+ 600 then the 750. The old 750 definately puts out more power then the 600, but is so much heavier it doesn't really matter.

A stock 99 750 is probably putting out around 115 HP new (~390 lbs), a stock 04 750 is sitting somewhere around 135 to 140 (at 360 lbs), a stock 04+ 600 is sitting around 105 to 110 (at 355 lbs).

The '99 750 was around 115 -117 hp stock.

The '00 would be around 122 -124 hp on the same dyno.

The new bike is ~ 15 lb lighter.

If you can't beat a new 600 on an old 750, they're a much better rider. There are a lot of better riders out there, get used to it.

The '96 750 is the dividing line in my mind between the faster bike winning and who's less scared of their bike winning. The FI bikes had ~7-9 hp more than the carbed bikes and more mid range. They're also more durable and much easier to tune.

I don't feel as badly throwing my 96 bike w/ a worked 99 motor w/ '01 FI down the track as I feel when I throw my '01 1K down the track. It's easier to pass with a 1K, but my lap times are not a whole lot different. It's more fun to pass with the '96.

On the street, the '96 could kill you just as quickly as the 1K, and it wouldn't cost you as much. The 1K doesn't destroy any car you're likely to meet any better than the '96.
