Hello, I just bought my first bike, a 96 GSX 600 F and I want to upgrade the mirrors. I'm looking for something a bit wider, preferably also flat. Do you have any tips on where to look? I read that "2000 era GSXR mirrors will fit after reshaping base", not sure what that exactly means. If that's the way to go, I found a few:
  • 59 eur: Fits Suzuki-Gsxr-1000-2001-2002
  • 31 eur: Fits: Suzuki SV 1000 SV1000S.Suzuki SV650 SV650S 2003-2009. Suzuki GSXR1000 2003 2004. Suzuki GSXR600/750 2004 2005. Suzuki GSX650F 2008-2012. Suzuki GSF1250S GSX1250 Bandit 2007-2009. Suzuki Bandit GSF650S 2005-2011
  • 38 eur: Fits SUZUKI GSX-R 600 and 750, RF 600 and 900 R, RGV 250 and TL 1000 R/S; build year according to model 1991 to 2000
  • 25 eur: Suzuki GSXR 1000 / GSX-R1000 2001-2002. Suzuki GSXR 600 / GSX-R600 2001-2003. Suzuki GSXR 750 / GSX-R750 2001-2003.
Two of those listings mention "convex" I guess that's just for the outer edge? If I was to tell by the pictures, I would guess they are all flat.

Another thing I noticed is that second gear whines as if it was straight cut. Like reverse does in many cars. I don't think there are other issues at the moment, other than it being a bit older bike, so sometimes it takes me a few tries to get into neutral. Should I be worried?

I also ordered a db killer. it's a shorter one since my exhaust is angled at the end and I didn't manage to find an angled db killer. Should I get the carb adjusted because the exhaust becomes more restricted? Or should I do that anyway just to be sure, since I don't know when it was adjusted or serviced last?

Thanks a lot

DB killers are an abomination. Be LOUD AND PROUD. As far as mirrors go, I used mirror spacers to make the factory mirrors extend farther on my ‘01 katana 600.
