i am getting closer to getting this thing on the road. to refresh, i have the 750 braced swing with 95 rims. i got everything together and there was no room for the spacer on the sprocket side. with the capliper hanger that slides intot he swingarm, there is no room for movment on that side. do i need to make a smaller spacer for the sprocket side? i put a caliper holder on that would require a brake arm (like 86 style) and then there was too much space on the rotor side (with the spacer in-place on the sprocket side). also, since i have your attention, i put 93 1100 forks on it also. when i put the clip ons on it, the resevoirs are hitting the speedo cluster? now what? thx as always.

On my 93 arm I have to slide in the wheel and spacers togeather. The spacer won't go in after the wheel and brake arm are in place I have to put them all in at the same time. Its a real pain in the ass.
I have a 93 750 front end on mine with the stock gauges from a 88 bolted to the two front holes in the triple but I am using remote reservoir master cylinder and cable clutch.

on mine I checked the swingarm before I put it on by putting a straight edge down the outside of the arm and measuring over to the pivot thrust washers and you will find the arms are offset from one side to the other on my 90 style arm it is .230" greater on the sprocket side. Then when I installed the wheel I measured from the flat part of the arm over to the center flange of the back wheel and made it .230" greater on the left side now the wheel is dead center in the middle of the frame and and made the appropriate spacers to line every thing up. Also when you are checking the wheel measurement you need to run a string around the wheel and align it with the front otherwise your measurements will be off, in other words the wheel has to be in square to get an acccurate measurement. And yes all this does impact how the bike handles as to wheather the wheel is in the middle of the frame. I have a braced swingarm here I will measure it and tell you what the offset is. Also with the wheel centered as above a 5.5 just fits a 6" is too big and dunlop 190 just clears the chain, had to space the spocket out from the cush drive about .200 to get every thing lined up correctly, any more and the chain is out of alignment on a 750 don't know about the 1100 it may be different. Lastest mod I have done is changed the slope angle of the swingarm to 13 degrees it is measured with the suspension fully extended front and rear and is the angle of the swingarm realative to an imaginary plane under the front and back wheels, this is done by changing the dogbone length. Bike really rockets out of corners as there is virtually no squat in the back end when you put the power on also allowed me to run a softer spring preload.

the other arm I have is a 95 1100 and it is offset .606 greater on the sprocket side dont know about your 750 arm you will have to measure it do not assume its the same.

on mine the 92 swingarm is just wide enough to use the stock spacers etc, but like Bones I have to assemble it all and then attempt to mount it up (not easy!)

I have yet to measure the sprocket to sprocket angles yet, but a shim here or there will take care of that

I too am using remote res. units but with stock forks and top triple so no contact for me

mount the clipons below the triple, to do this you need to drill and tap the rest of the way through the mounts that origionally go under and up into the the clip ons as you will now use them from above. then use the clutch master cyl from the 86 and a remote brake cyl mounted closer to the ignition.
