Evening, quick question, is it possible to change the timing chain without splitting the cases on 750w? Does anyone offer a chain with a master link so it can be attached to the old one and fed around the crank?

tks

Not recommended. If the chain is worn the engine needs attention as well. Split the cases and check the crank bearings while you have it torn down.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I'm surprised this old girl runs actually, its a frankenstein of the engine that came in it and one I bought last year for a couple hundred bucks. Old top end, replacement bottom.
I'd rather find a cheap 1100 to fit in the frame rails than mess around with the 750 again. Know anyone interested in a couple/three gs1150ef's?
