I had my swingarm shortened by 2inches it made a huge difference,it doesn't feel as heavy to ride through the twisties and turns a lot quicker.You can fit a swingarm from a 90-91 750 they bolt straight in.
I have seen a 1100 with a 97 gsxr tailpiece on it,looked really good.
My bike only has a vance & hines exhaust and dyna coils at the moment(130hp).
