Rebuilding a 92 "oil-cooled" and both the (inner and outer) valve springs are checking (significantly) longer than specs in both the OE and Haynes manuals. Pictured is an outer that is checking 5mm long.

The manual goes to 91 as the 92 was W/C in some markets but I assume that the O/C 92 should be the same as 91.

Any thoughts?

well at least I know who you are on FB :giggle they could be aftermarket, if you have a means to measure spring rate compare what youve got to an OEM spring. regardless, I dont think youll have any issues with valve float, I wouldnt worry about it too much
