87 gsxr oil question
I just bought a 87 gsxr 750 that has not been run in about 2 years. Is there a good way for me to prelube the engine internals so it doesnt start too dry or should i worry about it. I am going to do an oil change before i turn it over , do i check the oil cold or hot. any other suggestions for this newb, oh yeah, spark plug gap? what do i set it at? i know i need a manual

tried to start it today with no luck. Sounded like it wanted to start, maybe. but no bad mechanical noises. I am thinking timing? the previous owner did a timing chain change i think, is there an easy way for me to check the timing? what about checking for spark, can i pul the plug wire and put another plug in it then crank the engine or is there a better way?
Do i have to take the plug out or can i just use a 5th plug to do the spark test and just pull the boot off?
