I seen on here before a post about putting a 600 head on a 750 will increase power. If this is true can someone tell me why before I try it? Thanks.

I would check the bore on 600/750 heads is different not sure if it will work freak said he was gonna try it out. On power i would say low to mid range much better but your top end may suffer due to smaller valves

Yes I did a 00 600 head on a 99 750 motor.. it runs great... The guy didnt want to do new rings, so there is some leak. The bike pull really hard at like 9K RPM. The power starts to come on at like 5K RPM and it start to sign off at like 12K. The motor is strong in the mid range (and that is great for the guy the rides it). I dont think the bike makes MORE power, but it DID move the power band into a more useable area for that rider.

BTW, He has a Yosh RS3 duplex and K&N filter... No PCII yet (just a yosh box remap) and the air box mod with a TRE...

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">It still pulls up to red line... but it doesnt pull like it did with the stock head... the power band just tops off at like 12K RPM... and for real life street use, that is the kind of power that works nice...

If you are on the track all the time that is cool... but having the power turn on hard at like 10K not 12K can really help you out.
