hello,
I am thinking to buy brand new 2022 GSXR1000R or a BMW S1000RR, I am confused because I saw this youtube dyno video and it seems from comment section ecu is locked and we cant get more HP, can someone please tell me if ECU is encrypted on these 2022 bikes and its possible to flash them for more HP.
also what you think about this video on dyno where BMW s1000rr and gsxr1000r is compared.

Help me in deciding between gsxr1000r and bmw s1000rr and help me with ecu flash to get more hp on gsxr1000r.

Honestly bro i'd go with the GSXR it's cheaper and will last in the long run, the RR will last you until warranty in my opinion. Both super fun fast bikes but at the end of the day it's about fun and how you're enjoying it, you dont have to be the fastest bike on the street. And as far as picking between the two and wanting compete against other bikes it's kinda whatever cause you'll be beating most to all cars on the road if that counts for anything if the speed beating everything aspect is what you are looking for.

prolly wont find much support for the beemer ona gixxer forum but if you do not like to work on your bike and want a lil more HP at about oh $5k more the beemr is a decent choice, more expensive to insure and do have their inherent issues so.. gixxers rule obviously so I know what I would get.. hands down..

Good Question. In the youtube clip the poster talks about the BMW ECM and says Woolwich is working on it.
The Gixxer is a L7, but the dyno chart is impressive.
About the 22 (M) Why not talk to these guys or a Dyno Tuner near you.

IMHO these bikes have always been detuned simply for longevity reason, you can eek out the maximum burn but don't look to get 60k out of it, or even 30k.. they are tuned like this for a reason, good lord 200 isnt enough for a 480lb bike? near 1/2 hp per pound and you need more? at the risk of grenading it prematurely?

I am 100% confident 125hp is plenty for you...

also, if he is trying to beat everything on the streets he will need more than HP, mo $$$, there are 800hp monsters out there and 4000hp cars..

if money is no issues send a gixxer to the tuner, for $500-$750k or so they can get you real close to the king...
