I bought it last October, and it has less than 3,000 miles. I charged and put the factory battery back in it, started and checked the voltage. It never increases when revved to 5,000-6,000 rpms.

Take it to the dealer and have the alternator properly tested and possibly replaced.

are you checking pre R/R or at the battery running? should be a strong 12V at battery when not running, strong 14-15 when running, then at the 3 leads off the stator you want a 50v or so at 5000 RPM

I think he's voided the shit out of his warranty with mods.

Apparently, you shouldn't use lithium batteries with factory rectifiers on Suzuki motorcycles. Rick's makes one that is compatible with lithium batteries.
