Brand new battery and have tested with multiple - tested with a meter as well
Replaced the right handle bar kill switch and start assembly today to try and resolve and it did some weird things when I first started it up, but no real change in behavior

I turn the kill switch to on and I turn the key, my odometer will sit at a faintish red light. I go to start it and the light gets brighter and starts to blink a bit like it wants to start. When I turn the key I do not get ANY clicks. I don't hear the fuel pump at all. Did this all in neutral, battery is fully charged. Please help I am about to sell this and this is the last piece to the puzzle!

no fuel pump prime? better inspect your wiring harness and connectors, clean em all and pack with dielectric grease.. then ignition, relays and fuses.. keep chasing it, you have the service manual with wiring diagram, keep tracing that signal till you find the fault.. all your sensors are good and working, sidestand can get gummy and fail, clutch, tipover, so forth? first for the faint red light for me.. semms the power is getting robbed somewhere, not even enough to flip the relay and prime the fuel pump, all grounds are good?

This is all a wee bit over my skill level. but I do have a buddy coming with a voltage meter that knows about this stuff tomorrow. We are going to start with the battery and take it from there. The bike has a new battery, but it also doesn't ever get ridden due to my bad back. So I am trying to get it up and running to sell to this dude. He is going to take it regardless, but Id prefer the extra cash for getting it fixed beforehand

I have an aftermarket headlight that is an LED with a ballast I have tucked up under my front area. That has blown on me before, but the headlight just didn't work anymore. It didn't do anything like this to the bike. Replaced the ballast and I was back good to go. I guess we start tracing cables, Sadge.

Resolved with a brand new battery change. I guess these batteries even only a year old do not like to sit around. I wasn't riding it or starting it and it took it to its grave. Brand new battery instant start with no problems.

There's a parasitic drain on the battery that will slowly run it down. That and the battery's self discharge requires periodic charging while in storage. It's actually best to disconnect and/or remove the battery when in storage.

Dang that is a great idea, just unhook the battery. I should have done that 100% Luckily I got a refund on it and upgraded to a better model for 20 bucks and all is well. Thanks for the reply though my friend!
