Wondering if anyone can help me out or has had this problem before ....

Gsxr 600 2002 fault C29
secondary throttle position sensor

Checked the resistance of the sensor

0.8 k-ohms closed - 3.9 k-ohms open (bang on what the manual states)

input voltages 5.0 volts (manual states 4.5 volts - 5.5 volts)

all ok within spec according to the Manual

Only thing that is slightly out is the output voltage from the sensor manual states it should be 0.8 volts throttle closed to 4.0 volts open and I鈥檓 getting 0.6 volts closed - 3.8volts open ? Would the 0.2 volts difference be enough to throw up the C29 fault ? Duff sensor possibly ?

Sorry for the long post
Thanks in advance 馃憤

I never recommend throwing money at a problem, especially when you've tested the part you're going to replace and it tests good.

This this the f-ed up model of SDTV system. That sensor should have 3 wires. Input power, ground, and signal. Check the resistance across the input power and ground pins and cycle the secondaries by hand. The reading shouldn't change at all.

Okie dokey pal thank you I鈥檒l check that out. I know tell me about it there鈥檚 not much info knocking around for this type of set up mainly for the newer models k4 onwards ! If the reading does change the actuator itself that will be at fault ?
