So I have a 2002 gsxr 1000 with the "Check" light On. I've found online that I see to cross 2 wires on a connector and I follow step by step how they do it and it still won't read the codes just says Check. The bike won't start. the fuel pump primes the bike turns over just won't start. I've been looking around and haven't found anyone with this problem. Thx in advance.

Buy a dealer mode switch ($20-$25). You're asking for problems otherwise. It's a 4 pin type, not the later 6 pin type. CHEC means there's no power to the ECM or that the B/G lead from the ECM to the cluster is bad. You have power or the pump wouldn't prime. K1/K2 are notorious for the connectors next to the right fork between the triple clamps going bad. Disconnect the connectors, inspect the contacts, fix as appropriate, and lube with dielectric grease.
