i am currently dissecting my 03 600 and i am putting new tires on it - is there any way to take the rear tire off with out cutting the chain - its a stock chain and i dont feel like going through the hassle of cuttin old master to put new one on...if you have any demo pics that would be great

Q2...
i posted this somewhere else but hell....when i am drivin and i come to a dead stop...start in 1st and jam on it - when i go to shift to second and sometimes even 3rd it dies?....any reason? could it be electrical mechanical?...i took the filter plugs and all that out...its all clean...any help=good game

the first question... you don't have to cut your chain off. you take the axle bolts off and loosen the adjuster screws and the rear wheel will move forward. then your chain will have enough slack that you can get it off the sprocket. easy.

question 2. the first thing I would check is the kick stand switch. if it's stuck or borken it will shut the bike off when your not in neutral.
