No. The upper clamp for the 1100 has visible bolt holes on top for the clip ons. The 750's mount under the top clamp so you can't see them unless you turn the clamp over. The offset and diameter of the tubes, bearings, and stem are the same though. Just the top clamp has that one difference.

All the 1 st gen 1100 I seen on the web have the clip ons under the triple, I know 2nd gen and up were on top for the triple.

The reason I'm asking is because I'm sending 6 different triples to someone thats is making carbon fiber triple covers and the 1st gens were the only ones I didn't know about.

I can tell you for a fact that 87 1100 upper is exactly as your picture, as for 86 750 I'll have to dig out upper out of parts box tommorrow when I go to my parents home. Have done fork swap on both bikes but i've got so many parts laying around and of course my advanced age...I get forgetful :)

The offsets are different on the 750's to the 1100

1st Gen GSXR 1100 Offset 1.47"
1st Gen GSXR 750 Offset 1.68"
Tube Clamp ID's the same for 41mm tubes

If that's true, then it's the first time I've heard it - so you learn something new every day. I've got both clamps out in the garage so now I have to measure it myself.

x2, I was going to clean up and paint the top clamp from the 1100 to swap out with the one from the 750.
Offset is different, you cant mix first 750 and 1100 triples.
You can use a matched upper and lower on either bike
