I installed a new replacement coil set, which I bought from eBay for $60.00, and it turned out that the Coils I bought are either the wrong coils (they are suppose to be for a 1996 GSXR1100), or they are damaged. Either way, they don't work, so I got what I paid for!

So I'm now looking into buying me a second set of new coils, but not from eBay this time. My bike is pretty much stock, except it has a carbon exhaust and Keihin 41mm FCR Flat Slide Carbs with K&N filters. This bike has all of the power that I will ever need, so where should I buy my next coil from? I checked on the Suzuki OEM parts, and a set of new coils with cables are around $250.00

Is this the best way to go for my bike? I don't mind spending money, but I'm not looking on making this bike any faster, so I really don't want to spend $500.00 or more for something that is great to have, but not really needed for my bike or riding style.

Please give me some Coil manufacturer recommendations, and the best place were I can buy a good set of coils.

Thanks,

Andy

Here is the new $415.00 Dyna 2000 CDI Ignition kit (MFG part numbers: Dynatek DDK3-4, DW800, DC1-2), which I decided to buy and install to replace the original ignition setup with on my 1996 GSXR 1100W, just in case that someone else one day needs to find a new ignition system for their bike. Production on one of the two original coils has been discontinued by Suzuki, and that coil is not available for purchase anymore. I first spend $60.00 on a set of aftermarket replacement coils, which were bad from the factory, so I decided to now change the complete ignition system out before finding a aftermarket coil set that is going to leave me stranded somewhere away from my home one day.

I was just notified by the eBay seller (although he stated in his eBay add that he had more than ten kits in stock), that Dynatek stopped making the GSXR ignition kit, so I'm starting from zero again, since the seller had zero of those units in stock.......

Still available to buy on the Dynatek website, so someone is not telling you the truth.

Hey i have an extra pair still in package that I never used. Pay for shipping and they're yours. I did get them from eBay also but it's worth a shot for free.
