Just picked up a '92 GSX-R 600 for $450. Has the original fairings (left side ground from being laid over by PO), a couple boxes of bits and pieces, and a full SharkSkinz race fairing. It's in rough shape, but runs, and for the price couldn't pass it up. Started tear down already, pulling the emissions stuff (Cali model), been lurking here filling my notebook with ideas and notes.

and you have the bonus of getting to know your bike inside out.
:punk

I can never leave things alone for this very reason...

Always good to see a W on the road and still nice instead of those ghetto gixxers.
Congratulations...

You did a really good job on that bike..

Those old Gixxer (up to 1995) are really bikes with a charakter and a soul!
That makes such projects a pleasure and brings you into a relationship with these bikes..

Greetings from Germany (with 55°F... perfect for the first ride in 2014)
Thanks, it would have been a lot harder without the resources available here, lots of knowledge floating around these forums. My son rode it around the yard last weekend and now we are searching for another project bike :biggrin I haven't told him that secretly I have my eye out for one of those sexy, big butt SRAD machines lol.

Sorry to bring back an old thread but I am just starting a hopefully similar rebuild of a 92 600 and was wondering what if any service manuals you used and where to find them.

Thanks
