Does anyone know the stock 1/4 Mile time for an 88 gixxer 750?

How about the horsepower and torque ratings etc?

How about a guess at mine, it has a K&N filter, yosh cams, Yosh 4 into 1 Pipe, and jet kit?

Thanks...

Get it on a dyno and find out for sure. Tune it and get to the track and see what you can make it do. But don't expect to break any records first time out.

You'll be back though because it's addictive as hell!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">428 is a weight advertised by Suzuki.
all manufacturers kinda cheat with their dry weight figures.
At that weght the manufacturers do not include such neccesities as fork oil, engine oil, air in tires, and other "luxuries".
the magazines report dry weight as the bike with an empty tank of fuel(a real world dry weight).

BTW, I am scheduling a big scanning session this weekend, so I will add that job to the pile.

Hey Karl,

That would be cool if you could scan that article. I would love to see what they said about the gixxer in 88.

Thanks Jason

Last time on a dyno, my '89 racebike with a V&H supersport pipe, K&N, Dyna Coils, and a jet kit posted 100bhp even. I had it on set of scales at the kart track after a race and it weighed 440lbs. Obviously, no lights and so on. The '89 is the short stroker though, isn't it, and the '88 the long? Thought it might be interesting for reference. Troy 341

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">the 88 and 89 were both short stroke motors. they went back to the original B/S ratio in 1990.

Thanks, I couldn't remember if the short strokers were the '88, '89 or the '89, '90. Troy 341
