I have done a search on the forum and last discussion I can find in this regard is from 2015, so thought to try get some more recent views for more current tyres.

I have started riding my 1100 on the track for track days and do still do some road riding. Currently I have Pirelli Angel GT2's fitted. Although they offer sufficient grip and are fine for the road, they not great for the track. I am looking for a good tyre that is a little more track oriented. Do you folk have some views on this?
Sizes are 110x80x18 and 160x60x18 as my model is the '88J model.

Cheers for the advice in advance.

The lack of 18" track tire availability, is why many are forced to switch to 17" rims.
So I have managed to get my hands on a great Classic Racing/road tyre. Metzeler have come to the party with an 18" version of their Racetech RR tyres. Sizes 110/80/18 and 150/65/18 also a 160/60/18 for the '88 wider rear rim.

So in 1988 Gsx-r 750 went to 17" wheels. Did the 1100 stay with the 18 for another year ?
Edit. Ah ha, more research finds the 1100 k went to 17". (y)
