Manual says plugs need to be changed at 7500k went over into almost 12k before changing the plugs and added a K & N air filter.

Removed the old plugs and oem air filter.

Plugs look nice and toasty.

Bike running flawlessly. :)

OEM air filter FTW.

My understanding is that 'high performance' air filters provide better performance via increased airflow. The bike gains performance by putting in a filter that does less..... and allows more air (and more of that crap that the OEM filter catches) into your engine.

But I've always been an OEM wussy.

The only thing I find amusing is the advice to use racefilters only on the track because they filter less and there's more muck on the streets
Now, I don't know how clinically clean other tracks in the world are
But Assen and Zandvoort are a lot more dusty than the average Dutch city, not even mentioning what happens when a bike goes off track into the gravel
