06 exhaust on a 00?!

I really like the look of the shorty pipes from the new bikes and the massive canister down my 00 750 isn't really appealling....would attempting this retrofit be taboo? and has anyone done it yet? thoughts or opinions....i know cutting and welding is involved for sure

You'd probably do better by just cutting your can.
