Does anyone know what other rotors fit 05-06 1000 wheels?

I want 320 mm discs and was thinking to fit 00-03 750 rotors, but the bore is different.

What is PCD also?

PCD is the bolt centre distance for the disks.

The wheel mounting is pretty easy if you are swapping the whole wheel. If you look at the disk centre distance and the bearing spacing you will notice it is the same for nearly all the models (good on you Suzuki). This means that you can swap wheels with ease, just use the spacers that are used on the bike you are swapping into. If the disks are larger the calipers will need to be spaced by the difference in radius or 1/2 the difference in diameter.

I've never heard of caliper spoke clearance issues. But that would be obvious when fitting the wheels.

See the following chart from this website: http://www.svrider.com/forum/showthread.php?t=135430

Kwaka, so the Pitch Circle Diameter is effectively the distance between the disc mounting bolts measured in a circular fashion?

Thanks for posting that pic. Explains a lot.

Yep, that's what the diagram shows.

I have just copied and pasted the information that was on the other website. They did a good job of putting it all together.

My experience so far is it is all accurate.

Just an update, since I can't edit my post for some reason. This was meant to be for the 1000cc bikes. This data SHOULD apply to 01-03 & 04-05 600's & 00-03 & 04-05 750's as well. Putting a 1000 rear wheel on your 01-05 600 or 00-05 750 should be a bolt-on deal when using an 01-08 1000 wheel. Just use spacers for the proper generation 1000. 04-05 600/750 with 01-08 1000 wheel needs 03-08 1000 spacers. 00-03 750 or 01-03 600 with 01-08 1000 wheel needs 01-02 1000 spacers. All of the front wheels are identical for 600/750/1000 from 00-05 750, 01-05 600, & 01-04 1000.

06-09 600/750 swing arms need custom spacers to use any older wheels cuz they're narrower than previous years. Front wheels are identical dimensions to 05-08 1000 so read the original post in regard to swapping those out.

Hope this answers more questions for you guys ;) Ride safe guys!

So to make sure i'm reading your post right:

BST lists one part number for a GSXR1000 rear wheel, good for 2001-2008 fitments.

Marchesini lists TWO separate part numbers for their GSXR1000 rears; one for the '01-04 models and one for the 05-08 models.

So if I order a BST rear, I may have to use a stock brake side spacer for an 05-08 to make it fit my 01?

Ok we'll first off thank you for all your time and research..great stuff!

Ok here's my dilemma... I have a 05 gsxr 750 and I picked up at set of 08 1000 blue wheels for it.. If I understand correctly I need to get the rear spacers for the 1000 wheels to fit the rear on my 750 as well as the 5mm caliper spacers for the front wheels which are now a 320mm to fit the front correctly.?

If that ^^^^ is all correct can anyone point me in the right direction to where I can find these parts as I cannot for the life of me find the 5mm spacers as they are sold out everywhere I have found them and I'm seriously stressing out as this is the only thing keeping my bike off the road....:dunno

thanks in advance for any help !

I have an 03 1000. Keeping the stock 03 1000 wheel, but upgrading to the 05/06 1000 caliper and master cylinder. I can use 01-02 GSXR 1000 320mm discs with 5mm spacers or SV1000 rotors without spacers, correct?

Brembo and PVM make 320mm rotors for the K5-8 front rim. I have Brembos and a K5 rim fitted to the front of my K1 750 trackbike.
