Subtle Tank Slapper at high speeds under acceleration
I recently got my fork seals redone & had them put a new front tire on while they had the front wheel off. I ordered the tire from revzilla, matching the stock tire size as both wheels are stock. Both front & back tires are the same make & model.
The steering at low speeds feels much easier/looser. I assumed maybe they re-lubed the steering column or whatever it's called on a bike. Overall, the bike feels much better cornering & absorbing bumps.
The negative is that when I get on it on the highway & reach triple digits, the front goes into a slight tank slapper. Letting off the throttle stops it immediately. The front end does not come up during acceleration, so I don't see how the front end is getting out of line with the rear. I know we have the stock steering damper...could they have changed the settings of this? What other things could be causing this?
Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
