Re: Low beam works. Pass light works. High beam doesn't?
"Wire came out of the bottom of the loom underneath airbox...this means that they are on different wires"
I don't believe it. High beam power comes from the fuse via a Y/W lead that changes to O at the switch connector. It leaves the switch via a Y lead for both the high beam and the flash-to-pass switches. The Y lead runs to the big connector where it changes to B/Y that runs to the cluster and the high beam bulb. There are no separate high beam and flash-to-pass leads except inside the switch where they branch to the individual switches. Your wiring has been modified if you have something else and the only reason I can think of is so that the high beam and flash-to-pass turn on different bulbs, which would require that the switch also be modified.
The connector for your switch should be yellow and have ten positions, one of which is empty (two are empty on the wiring harness side). Of them, three are associated with headlights. The O and Y leads are for the high beam and flash-to-pass as described above. There's also an unused W lead that is used for the low beam in other applications.
