Is the the stator bad?

2006 GSXR600 22K on the clock.
Fully charged battery and reinstalled back into the bike.
Connected the DVM to the positive and negative post on the battery and it is reading 12.6 volts.
Started the bike and the voltage dropped to 11.6 volts and is running fine at the moment. Let it idle up to operating temperature and the voltage is still 11.6 volts.
Revved it up 4000 RPM for a short period figuring the voltage would increase as the RPM increased but no change still ll.6 volts.

Let it run for another 15 minutes and the voltage dropped to 11.5 volts Disconnected the R/R harness from the bike leaving the stator connector exposed for testing.

Connected the DVM (in AC voltage mode) to the 3-pin stator connector and at idle and the voltage was only 20 VAC then revved the engine figuring there would be a rise in the voltage in proportion with the revs and an there was no change.

Checked the R/R per the manual and everything is with in spec.

Is it safe to say the stator is bad?

Thanks for the help.

Re: Is the the stator bad?

Nothing like looking at the stator to see whats wrong.
Yep, There's two burnt windings. This bike only has 23K miles on the clock.

My old 97 TL1000S had 72K miles and never had a stator issue.

Any suggestions on where to get the replacement?
Rick's Motor Sport Electrics, New Hamphsire
Racetech, I believe is the same as Rick's?

Or
ElectroSport, California

Thanks,

Can't speak to their quality but there's also Caltric. The price is scary cheap.
