College Football: Week 4 Observations

Didn't watch any college football this weekend due to my major disgust at Thursday nights performance by USC... last weeks observations on USC

1. USC is a squad of "grown men"
Displaying their power running game balanced by accurate passing, the USC Trojans displayed why they are the number one team in the nation. But as a USC fan, there are a few things I need to admit:

a) The defense plays well, but appears to be a little suspect at this point in the season. I suspect they will have some sort of a meltdown around mid season and force the offense to try to rescue them.
b) Sanchez takes too many risks when he takes off with the ball. This could cause problems if he gets hit hard on that knee.
c) USC would do well to hand the ball off 5-10 more times a game.

Sucks that they proved me right.

1. Gators lost!!! That's good for USC.
2. Georgia got taken behind the woodshed.
3. The SEC and Big12 are running things these days!!!
4.Oregon is down to its 5th string QB....I'll be rooting for them to beat SC since I'm a Ducks fan.
5. The end of that Miami/UNC game was awesome!!!!

And that's still putting it lightly.

Being the worst ranked team as far as penalties go is killing us.

Vandy will win the SEC

OK, I really don't think they will, but that win against Auburn was pretty impressive.

I'm looking forward to Oklahoma vs. Texas Tech / Oklahoma vs. Missouri (if they win the North, shouldn't be a problem after seeing KU's performance this weekend). The Big 12 has four teams ranked in the top 10, that is awesome until they start taking eachother out.

Yeah, what happened to KU? Looks like it's going to be Missouri in the North. No one should beat Oklahoma IF they play like they're capable of. Still a lot of games left to play.

Ooops. I guess Texas took care of that one Mizzou looked like crap against OSU! I was really hoping someone would come out of the North undefeated... KU looked pretty decent against Colorado.

Yep, OU's defense didn't show up. McCoy and Bradford looked great. Daniel choked. Texas still has to get past OSU and T Tech. It's wide open again in the Big 12.
