Japan, here I come!

I'm in the process of recieving orders to Yokosuka.
So if you are from around there could you please give me some kind of overview of the situation over there?
I've already heard that there's some emissions and brake system inspection. That it's a pain to bring bikes in the country?
Say it ain't so

Re: Japan, here I come!

I transfered from Japn to Turkey about six months ago. The inspection there is very thorough but not hard or stressfull. Just make sure bike is in good running condition, no leaks to be seen anywhere on the bike, all lights work, brake usual stuff. I will also be heading back to Japan in June of 2005 and will have to take my bike through the same checks. Any other questions let me know. I still have riding buddies in Tokyo area.

Bike is in the shop having cams installed.
