time for change......

Just had to wheel my 750 down for its first MOT, which made me think about changing it...

So rather than get another Gixx 750 (which would make my third in a row), Im gonna try a litre bike - there are a few choices but only one has gsxr written on the side and is made by suzuki so that narrows it down a bit.

I have cash burning a hole in my pocket that needs to be spent - It must be blue and white it must be low mileage and mint condition and preferably on an 02 plate. The search is on, for the right price I will collect it from anywhere in mainland UK.

Incidently Bikesure gave me a very reasonable insurance quote - unlike my present insurers Motorcycle Direct who gave me a very stupid one. I used your list of Ins nos for getting quotes Gixxer UK - most helpfull.

Oh and of course that leaves me with a 01 registered GSXR750Y blue/white Meta cat 1 alarm immob - Akrapovic can - goodridge hosing - TRE, beautifull condition - only ever seen rain a couple of times - looking for a new home.....

Re: time for change......

You had to MOT a 01 bike, damm man ,

I reckon if we had to MOT bikes half of the bikes screaming around this weee island would be in the scrapyard by now.

Good luck with the new bike,
Next year ill be going for a change aswell , to a 04 750,
Think ill have one more crack at the 750 before hitting the litre bikes,
im only an ickle fella after all.

Re: time for change......

I would love to take that of your hands but I phoned my insurance about a 750 earlier and they were quoting me £900 Fully Comp as I would have to change insurers after my accident.

Sticking with the 600 for now.

Re: time for change......

£900 ouch....that is way too much to pay for insurance.

mind you I never go for Fully comp ins on my bikes, only ever TPF&F - My quote for the 1000 was £290, but thats with a shitload of years no claims and im 33.

you can have it for nothing if I can have that woman in your avatar....

failing that £4400 - this is the only pic I have of it to hand....ignore woman and cat...

Ill grab the digital camera and take some more of just the bike - thats an older pic - but it hasnt changed any, Im a fuss asss for keeping my bikes in tip top condition....its got 11,000 dry miles on the clock.

thanks, but it has to be private - the only time Id by from a dealer is if it was brand new (and I dont want a new one because I dont want to spend that sort of money and I dont want to be the one taking the initial depreciation hit) - I was thinking of something on an 02 plate.

You get infinately more bike for your money if your prepared to be patient trawling through the private adds and travel to collect...
