I guess I can always slap some YZ250 stickers on the 450 and go play!

You ever hear my bike run? How loud was it going down the front straight?

Seems like nothing but trouble since its been opened. Shame, it would be nice to have another track in any schedule.

Thumbs down Re: Nyst - boom!!!!!

FUCK, SHIT, DAMMIT........ Not good news at all. If the track
closes this would be such a tease. I love the track and I could deal with the
sucky pit area. This is like Monticello kicking us to the curb again......

Either NY needs to stop trying to have tracks, or you need to stop liking them so much. Every track you fall in love with ends up just being there and us not allowed to use it.

Knock it off John. Stop liking tracks.

But then NJMP would have been shut down a long time ago.

Rich, you know how I loved Monticello. I really enjoyed all the configurations.
AND it was an hour from my house, you can't beat that. I was depressed for
2 seasons after they kicked us to the curb.

I am with you Princess, more days at Pocono please.

I just might have to get a 2 fiddy to ride at NYST!!! I will get some tips from
the 2 fiddy expert, Mr Tom!

Re: Nyst - boom!!!!!

You can still do Monticello and NYST.

For Monti pay out your ass for a membership

For NYST get a 250 with a quiet muffler and sign up early as they'll have a 25 participant limit. (that is assuming they choose to operate under the originally agreed upon guidelines this season).

Cool Re: Nyst - boom!!!!!

Well according to NESBA, all is well with NYST and the 2014 schedule is
a go.

Judges decisions are overturned all the time by higher courts. Besides, with no zoning laws in place I don't see how they can be legally stopped from doing whatever they want on private land.

SO whatever shady deal they did to get the track built, it's a done deal.
Nothing the few houses in the area can do about it. I hope.
It used to be a small airport, I would be more worried about a plane crashing
into my house than noise from crotch rockets.

I am no lawyer, but I have stayed at a Holiday Inn.....LMAO

I'm sure all of the TD organizations are going to say it's a go. Trying to replace those dates with something new at this time is going to be very hard.

Because of that?

The responses on that thread are funny. I don't think they completely understand what is going on here. They all think its like NJMP with a handful of local neighbors complaining about excessive noise or some shit like that.

They've been hauled into court because they LIED in regards to just about every facet that track was going to be used for when it was going through it's approvals process. All of this stuff that Brian posted up there.

Red face Re: Nyst - boom!!!!!

I will wait until may to get a membership and book any dates at NYST.
I know NESBA is def counting on all being well ( me too), they don't have
many dates at NJMP. No dates at Pocono and no dates at Thompson CT.

We have ridden by Monticello a few times on the sun runs and we have seen
maybe 4 or 5 cars going around the southern track slowly, lol. We didn't hear
much noise so I doubt if anybody was on the northern track. I know they make
ALLOT of money renting the track out for car commercials. They don't allow
bikes period, like I can afford a membership anyway. Oh well it was nice while it
lasted.
