Insurance

I see the insurance subject coming up again, and I know that most of us go out and see what better we can find if there seems to be a steep hike going through.

So this thread will be ONLY to let people know what last year was, the renewal, and what else you have come up with or if you are staying where you are.

The format MUST follow the format I have set out or I WILL delete your post.........

[*]Age[*]Bike[*]Class of Licence[*]How long you have had that class[*]Convictions in the last 6 Years[*]Last years company and premium[*]What coverage you have[*]Their propsed renewal[*]Are you taking it, if not going with who and what their premium is[/list]
Please remember I don't want anything but what I asked for, if you want to start a conversation with someone about thier insurance plans, take it to a new thread.......

Don't make me mad, you wouldn't like me when I'm mad......................

Re: Insurance

Quote:

little more details than that.

What all do you have with State Farm, are you down as principal, etc???

Age: 27
Bike: '02 GSXR-600
Class of License: M2
Acquired License: April 2002
Convictions in the last 11 years: 0
Current Insurance: State Farm - $708
Coverage: Principal driver, theft, fire, collision, $1,000,000 liability, $500 comp/collision deductible (full coverage)
Proposed 2005 premium: $690
Am I going to keep it: duh
Am I sleeping with the agent: no
Does she want to sleep with me: possibly j/k
Other policies: car + 100,000 life insurance
Discounts: accident free, multi-line, 6 star driving record (I know there's another I just can't remember)

Also I get to insure multiple motorcycles under the cost of one bike. For example; I'm looking at getting the new Honda 1000RR. If I want to insure it and keep my current 02 sixxer, I will be ONLY charged for the 1000RR, but still be covered on the 600. My quote for the 1000RR: $75/mth and will cover the 600 as well

Is that enough detail Knight?

Age: 25
Bike: 2005 GSX-R750
Class of Licence: 56 (Alberta)
How long you have had that class: 5 years for class 6
Convictions in the last 6 Years: None
What coverage you have: State Farm
Their propsed renewal: $850 (full coverage, 500/500 deductable)

You may be interested in other quotes... most brokers quoted me around $1600 with 1000/1000 deductables, primmum was $2200+ with 1250/1250 premium, plus they require an alarm system.

Re: Insurance

ONtario is the sh*tiest place what a bunch of scum everyone else pays like around the $400.00 which is respectable but when we are talking $1000 or more for like true 6 months of riding it's really taking it up the a** and liking it

2 years
1 not-at-fault in 1999 and speeding over 15km/h (no points) in 2003
Kingsway – $1980
Liability Only

Kingsway sent me renewal for 2380 before the ticket, needless to say I did not renew it. I went to speak to the guy (Mike in Burlington) in person, thinking there was mistake and can be easily fixed. He says its because it is a racing motorcycle ?!?!? what a shit head. So I told him that it is the same bike as last year, wasn’t it racing bike than or did he mistake it for a moped? He got pissed and I cancelled. I have been warned about this asshat. Anyway, Called Farm State and got Liability for $950
