Seen this at a gas station yesterday...

Stopped to get gas in my truck,
and sxaid, 'No Way'

It was a REALLY clean, cherry '78 CB750

I used to own a 76 CB750

But a '78- this clean-
he said it only had 13,000 miles on it!
He said he's the only owner, and only rides it on weekends.
I thought to myself, yea, only on weekends- to the gas station and back!

Not crazy about the seat however

The 70s weren't kind to anything. Why the hell are the tank and side covers different colors? Those factory pipes are worth some coin.

Agreed on the seat.
The pipes had no rust. I tossed mine for a 4/1.

He did mention the stock side covers had weather/age cracked, and this the the closest he could find as replacements thus far. Godd eye BTW

The seat needs to be put back to stock but yeah...definitely a rare find. Good on you for snatching a pic. I love bikes from that era.

I love the 70's big CB honda's ... Used to own a mint cafe racer cb900.

Loose the screen + seat and if the tins were dark green or brown

If he's the only owner, then chances are the seat is at home, and in minty shape. Nice find. Worth some $$$

Re: Seen this at a gas station yesterday...

As a 120 lb high schooler, I was riding my dad's '71 CB750 fitted with a built 836 kit. Didn't look at all like that though and it was nerve racking taking my DMV riding test on it.

If you liked this vintage bike, I hope yyou saw my thread from last summer about the 'Bike Nights' here in the MIlwaukee area. I took several vintage throwback bikes pictures and stuff.

Here's the thread:
