Racing Gear for Women never in stock

So I'm sure all the women can agree how frustrating it is when you want to buy that track suit and can't find one damn shop that stocks even one suit. I live in the Tampa area but visiting NYC for the holidays. Any direction, advice, recommendations would be greatly appreciated (new, used.. I'm on the verge of desperation).

Happy Holidays.

Call Sportbiketrackgear.com and ask for Aubrey. She is the sales manager and is a trackday/racer and is very knowledgeable about ladies riding gear.

If you've got the money, go with a custom suit from one of the european specialists like Gimoto.

The quality will surpass most of the off the rack gear in the shops, and you can design your own - Gimoto

You could also try "Hazardous Racing Leathers." Likely will cost less be quicker plus, no annoying standard/metric conversions, dollar/euro conversion and no added monetary conversion charges.

Honestly not sure but Moto_Joe has a thread on them in "general bike talk". Not sure if they sponsored him or a company he came across. Anyway, from what I read, he gave them good reviews and if they are good enough for Moto_Joe then that is good enough.

EDIT: went into the thread and found this:

The company is based in North Carolina, and the leathers are made under strict qc in Pakistan, as are most racing leathers these days including most of the known name brands.

I had Syed Leathers in Orlando do my wife's custom suit. Guy did a great job and it fits her perfect. Generally better quality materials as well. Metal zippers, multi layered multi material armor built in. Any color, level of perforation or style you want. Same guy builds every suit and he's been doing it for like 40 years.

If we are talking custom made suits, I'll throw out another custom suit maker.......Barnacle Bill up in Kentucky. He made my wife's custom suit and OMG, the quality is just unbelievable. He too has been doing it for probably 30 plus years.....he's a former WERA racer, so he knows about quality and protection.

That's the myth right there. No-one owns factories in Pakistan, they just deal with the factories in Sialkot that churn out all the garbage on the market. You can buy a custom designed, custom sized suit from any of the companies on alibaba for around $200.
Some are better than others, but you're invariably looking at low quality leather and cheap protectors.

What name brands are made in Pakistan?

No good ones.

Yeah, see, you are picking a fight with me when I'm quoting Moto_Joe. Go PM Moto_Joe and get into a pissing contest with him but if a sponsored racer says they are good and he uses them and has crashed tested them...

And for the record I see nowhere in that quote where he says the company owns the factories just they oversee/insure qc.

Re: Racing Gear for Women never in stock

I think there's some mistake here, I'm not picking a fight with anyone.

The myth is that most racing leathers are made in Pakistan, and that's not true. My other point was, that if you don't own the factory, if you don't have boots on the ground as it were, then you don't really have any quality control. That's just how the industry works.
