Have any women purchase a gel seat they would recommend?

I have the stock seat on mine and have over 1,800 miles on it. Although it has softened up a bit...was wondering if any WOMEN have purchased a gel seat they would recommend. Thanks for any help.

I know a lot of the guys purchased the gel seats, with a mixed reaction. Some said they were great, some thought they sucked & took them back off.

I bought the Suzuki gel seat as I do 300+ mile day rides. I have no complaints as it is def better than the stock seat but it has to be broken in. It gets better after a few hundred miles in the seat.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the gel seat is higher. If height is an issue, but sure to check that out. I've heard some don't like them in hot weather, because they can get hot, too.

Samantha - Thanks for the input. I've been looking at that one and one other by Saddlemen. I've read a lot of mixed reviews as OldFart said, so i'm really torn as to if i want to spend the $$ or not.

Never thought of that Luna...also another good point to consider. I've also heard about the heat retention...so yet another thing to conisider.

What about wearing like padded biker shorts under your jeans

Night, I found the GSX-R seat really uncomfortable, not because of the foam, but because of it's shape. I think those little hard edges were made to gouge a woman's crotch . I needed my seat shaved down a little cause I'm short, and I had my friend also round-off those edges. It completely cured the problem! Now it's as comfortable as can be. He did add a thin layer of high-density memory foam (from a pilates mat I think). Once he glues the foam & reshapes the seat, he takes it to an upholstery shop to staple the cover on, cause that's the hard part. I've put about 15,000 miles on this seat, including 2 track days. Both the seat & my crotch have held up beautifully.

Just random thoughts if comfort is the issue. If you went this way, I have an extra seat you could have (off an '08 600, but I'm sure it fits an '09 750). Would let you use your bike while your seat is getting done. Just PM me if you're interested.

Thanks for the offer.

I have a guy I work with that is going to get the Saddlemen "Tech" seat for his R1. Going to wait and get his feedback before I make any final decisions.

Thank you all for the input.
