Re: A newbie, leggy and being talked out of riding lol
Anyone that trys to talk you out of getting a bike / trys to dictate or control your life isn't a friend, the ones that try to show concern tho are your friends... It can be nasty out there, no joke about that...
If you HAVE to have Gix, you can always get new rearsets, but overall, it won't be a huge improvement. I have a 33" inseam and stock works for me, I have adjustable stock rearsets that can go 1 notch down... go with a set of gilles or vortex adjustables and you could be probably right on the $, just be ready to spend a healthy amount on the rearsets, they're good quality, but they'll set you back! Take yourself an MSF course. Don't let anyone talk you out of riding... if it's what you want to do! If you want some kevlar jeans, get some kevlar which can be ordered on the net (don't get the cheap stuff), go with the either dupont or 3m stuff, take it to a tailor and have them line your jeans where you need it. My wife is getting ready to start doing that as a side income job...PM me if you need any more advice/questions bout the jeans or anything for that matter...You sound like you have a Brit or Aussie style of text, you in the UK or in the states? where?! PM me!
