Drag racing

I wanted to start drag racing my k3 gsxr 1000 and was wondering where some good places to start would be with performance upgrades and some recommendations for pipes and headers? Thanks in advanced

Re: Drag racing

1. Why did you pose the same question twice, within 10 minutes of each other?
2. Who are you?
3. Are you even able to consistently launch a bone stock bike?

OP asked 2 questions in 2 different forums. Rather than delete one, I merged the 2 here in "drag racing" since that was the better of the 2 forums. Now why he asked twice within 10 minutes or asked twice...OP?

Re: Drag racing

Power isn't your limiting factor.

Skill is.

What are your current 60' and 330' times?

Is the bike lowered/strapped?

What tire pressure you running?

I haven't started racing yet I was just wondering for when I do start. I was planing on lowering the bike an inch adding 4in to the swing are and getting straps for the front suspension to start out

Re: Drag racing

Well, you've already demonstrated that the last thing you need is an exhaust. Come back here when you can run consistent ETs and consistent 60', then you can start talking about more power.
