Jason @ STG

Placed an order with Jason over the phone and he had what they had of my order in stock in the mail same day not only did it come a day early I couldn't be happier.

Alpinestars GP Pro gloves white/black/fluo
2 Alpinestars stickers because everyone knows the amount of horse power they add.
even tossed in a stg sticker

Now it's just a waiting game for my Atem jacket.

Thanks for the shout out! Let me know how those gloves break in for you.

Fingers crossed that the Atem comes in as expected. That's one sexy jacket right there.

Re: Jason @ STG

On a more serious note, spent the last few days riding in these took a while to switch from 3 fingers on the clutch to 2 "pinky bridge forces you to either use all 4 fingers or use two". They wear almost like a second skin once you spend a little time in them air flow is surprisingly good as well. Would defiantly recommend anyone looking to upgrade gloves and wants a full glove to take a look at these.

Jason I hope your threatening your vendor every day and twice on Tuesdays about my jacket...

Re: Jason @ STG

Jacket came early couldn't wait long enough to get photos before I rode in it so ignore the black stains of the murdered all over the jacket....

Jason you do man thanks for talking me into it.

Quick review.....

It's a warm jacket if your used to ride with textile you'll get hot sitting still even if it's cool out. Jackets pretty heavy as well but isn't bulky and doesn't seem to restrict my movement at all. Once you get moving the pref and speed hump on the back do a good job with moving air about in the jacket.

All and all I give it a 9.5 out of 10 "no loops to attach to your belt just 2 straps that go down around your groin.... don't look like they would be comfortable at all."

Going to piggy back on this thread.

Another solid dealing with Jason, when ordering the wife a set of Sidi boots.

Looks damn fine with the gp pro's I can't find any real issues with the jacket fit is spot on would be better if I kept working at dropping these last few lb's. As heavy as it is "I've only ever owned textile jackets so this is an upgrade in every conceivable way" isn't bulky or movement restricting. Once you get up to 35 mpg the air flow in the jacket is great. It's just missing belt straps.

It maybe a leather jacket thing as I don't have a broad base to say if it's because of the level of protection or if I just need to ride in this gear more wrist movement is a little on the stiff side. With a full gauntlet then the wrist straps in the jacket it seems like a lot of extra bulk. Would probably serve well in a wreck to keep me from snapping my hands off.

If anyone is looking for a jacket and has the cash to drop you won't be disappointed. Everything about the jacket feels top end nothing looks or feels cheap at all. Anyone have recommendations for a good leather cleaner conditioner that will work on both black and white leather?

Re: Jason @ STG

I've used the Icon and Teknic leather cleaners. The Icon stuff says it's branded with Lexol, and that's what most leather people suggest to use. Neither works miracles, it takes some time and patience to get stuff clean. For spot cleaning it's not bad. Always follow it up with a conditioner.

Looks awesome! I almost have enough for the Atem jacket and track pants combo, going to go with the white/black instead though. I'm pretty excited to own a real quality jacket.
