Re: Ignorant people
Well, you have to look at it from the perspective of season'd riders. You also have to appreciate that you need to have a little bit of a thick skin around here
1. If someone comes on here asking how they can do something to their bike that will make it less safe to ride, you are going to catch a bit of criticism for it.
2. The "rudeness" that you are sensing more than likely is coming from a place of concern. We see people do stupid things to bike for the sake of making them "look good", and in the process making the bike less effective at turning/braking/maneuvering/etc (i.e. replacing rubber "grips" with chromed metal tubes, lowering and stretching for the sake of looks and tooling around on the street, and removing braking caliper/rotors etc etc). These machines already require a good bit of skill to ride deftly. Shooting yourself in the foot for the sake if "looks" is typically not well received by the guys who have been around the sport for a while.
3. Yes it is your bike and you are certainly going to do with it what you will, but if this forum isn't quite your cup of tea there are others out there that are more friendly to the type "riding" that you choose to do.
