Is my 98 GSXR 750 fuel injected?

I purchased a 98 GSXR 600 with a 750 engine swap. The seller told me that the motor came from a fuel injected 98 GSXR 750. I brought the bike to my local suzuki dealership for its 20,000 mile service and in conversation the service manager had mentioned that the bike was not fuel injected. Is there a simple way that I am able to tell that the engine is fuel injected or not? Possible an engine stamp or serial number on the engine somewhere. Thanks for any help.

I did and I see fuel injectors, but when you have a dealership telling you it is not fuel injected you question it. I asked for help not a smart ass remark.

Errrr...No!
They BOTH have a choke or fast idle lever that look identical so that won't really help.

Re: Is my 98 GSXR 750 fuel injected?

Just because it "came from" an F.I. bike doesn't mean it is being used in an F.I system!
This motor can be converted back-forth fairly easily and what may appear to you as injectors may actually be the carb bodies or vice-versa.
Was that helpful or was that too smart-ass of an answer?

I could give 1/2 my supply away to both of you and still have more than enough for me!

From under the air box, an untrained eye could mistake one for the other!

realy, iv never see a F.I. bike with a choke lever on the handelbars or anywhere else.

aslo why would a F.I. system need a choke. its all computer controled?

nope, not at all. mine is the most basic FI can get. the choke opens the throttle a little bit and holds it. there is a 3rd cable for the choke on the throttle body and when pulled it rotates a lobe that pushes the throttle open a bit.

Then you have never seen a fast start lever on a FI 97-99 SRAD 750 that looked to be a choke lever in the exact same place as the choke lever as the previous two years carbed bikes that looked identical.
