gsxr.com vs gixxer.com

Whats the diff?

According to websiteoutlook.com the traffic is this:
www.gixxer.com 78 a day
www.gsxr.com 2254 a day

thats nearly 30 times more.

so which is the official site and the 'main' site?

Dont worry, i dont plan on jumping ship LOL. this site has been increidbly helpful to me, i'm an absolute n00b when it comes to technical things with the bike and everyone here has helped me do everything i want to my bike.

Re: gsxr.com vs gixxer.com

I would say whatever data that is pulling is completely inaccurate

They are now (as of a few years ago) owned by the same people, but have completely different staffs and mostly different user base, and this site is the largest single brand site on the net, and arguably the most trafficked sportbike site PERIOD on the net.

Re: gsxr.com vs gixxer.com

FWIW, this site has averaged about 1700-1800 unique visitors per day for the last month, with 1500-1600 new posts per day average on weekdays, and 800-900 on weekends, and we gain about 50 new members PER DAY.

I can guarantee you GSXR is not even close.

I am a member on several different GIXXER sites: this one, gsxr.com, gixxerplanet.com and gixxernation.com. they all havegood information, but IMHO gixxer.com is the best site. the people are more friendly here. there are more frequent posts here all year ling.

Re: gsxr.com vs gixxer.com

a business of Web Hosting of multiple sites can hardly be considered the same as a forum for leisure

Sure, my network serves more requests per hour than gixxer.com and gsxr.com do collectively in a year so it is a bit of an unfair comparison haha.

It is a commercial domain which is why I didn't post the domain (not out to spam). I just hadn't checked Alexa in a while and was happy to see what I saw, lol.

do you have the numbers for when the NOS thread opened up and single handedly brought this site down to its knees?

It was not the joins that did it, it was the views.

Re: gsxr.com vs gixxer.com

Well, I did peek at GSXR.com the other day just to see what they were all about since so many threads here reference them. They seem to embrace and support any bike for any new rider, and support every upgrade, stretch, LED, and chrome job. No hate here, just stating facts folks.

Gixxer.com peeps don't pull punches, tell it like it is, and provide good info from time to time. I wouldn't say it's so track oriented, lots of members on here just like to ride sportbikes on the street for the ride, but just aren't interested in putting flashy shit on it.
