Thumbs up First Suzuki ! 82' GS750T

Just traded a 1992 Yamaha XJ600 Seca 2 for a 1982 Suzuki GS750T.
Not only was the GS750T worth more money, AND in better condition......
...but the guy added $200 on top!

Young kid wanted a "crotch rocket"....lol.
This thing needs NOTHING. In excellent shape.
New tires, new air filters, freshly cleaned carbs, oil service every 2k miles, fresh brake pads, no body damage, LOUD Vance Hines exhaust, chrome nice and shiny.....this thing is a freakin' gem...lol

I'm PUMPED! From everything I've been reading these are really great bikes!!

Couldn't be happier. Definitely scored!

Re: First Suzuki ! 82' GS750T

Welcome,

Great Lookin GS!!!

I am a proud owner of a "T" myself and love the performance of this bike. Coming off a Gixxer platform (Y2K/750) I can tell you this bike produces enough power at high speeds!

It's ironic but I got a speeding ticket on my "T" and a couple of warnings on the Gixxer. This is such a fun bike and I got mine for less than $500 with a rebuilt clutch and freshly done carb rebuild.

It's great running it stock...and you'll need to run it at least weekly so you won't have any issues. More pics of your "T" when you get a chance please!

Yeah, it definitely responds really nice. Suspension feels good. Everything about thing bike seems solid!
Definitely will post up some better pics tomorrow. These were pics from the owner.

I wanted 1400 for my Seca2.... he gave me this + $200.
Honestly, I feel like I came out ahead $700. Very happy!
More pics to come!

^^ As long as you feel comfortable with the deal, that's all that matters. You'll enjoy this bike for a long time. I am not disappointed and I'm excited for you.

I've got pics of mine on my profile...you're more than welcome to view it as well as my first bike.

I hit up your profile, but didn't see the pic(s)...?
New to the forums, not sure my way around yet.
Your albums have a couple bikes...but don't see the GS750TZ
You referring to the 86' GSX?

One of our guys had one. Other than a charging problem, he rode the wheels off it.
He traded a guy for GS11 and been riding it since. Misses his 750 though.

Re: First Suzuki ! 82' GS750T

I really had no idea these were such great bikes until AFTER I traded for it.
Couldn't be happier, as I think I got an extremely good deal.
(Probably ahead $700+ from the trade, as the one I traded was worth less, and wasn't in such great condition)

The guy seemed cool with it though. Guess he really wanted a crotch rocket. lol

Yeah, if the R/R isn't grounded properly it will have charging issues. I keep it on a battery tender and run her at least once a week and she purrrrrs!

I did some research and wanted a bike that was pre-sportsbike and this bike is it! I'm sure I would like a Katana...its roots are in the GS.

Keep on with the stories and more pics on the other site as well as here.
