This may have already been discussed somewhere here on this forum, but today i was walking back from the drug store, which is on a main street where cars/bikes park near meters on the curb. So this guy, on a cruiser, had the LOUDEST pipes, reving it up at the stop light, and then almost redlines it going past me, setting off a car alarm. I couldnt tell if it was a harley or some other brand. But my question is, why? Whats the point of the loud exhaust on a cruiser? It cant possibly be performance because if you wanted that wouldnt you just buy a faster bike? Is it for attention? So other traffic can hear you coming? I work at a bar across the street from a biker bar and i see/hear it all the time.
