How strict is CCS about the size of the numbers on the bike?

The manual says the front numbers should be 8" high. I use a triple digit number and I think that's gonna be a tight squeez. Are they pretty strict about that?

Also, I am getting yellow vinyl put on as the number plate. How did you guys do your number plate....vinyl?...paint? Do you guys have any pics of how yours is done?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

i always painted the #plates. vinyl is a pain in the ass to get it to sit flat. most likely your going to have a lot of bubbles, and lines you cant get flat.. and im pretty sure your going to have to run 8" #'s too. although i did run 6" #'s up front when i had the plate off to one side of the bike rather than centered, and they didnt give me any shit about it.
