Crack what caused it do you think?

Didn't hear anything unusual in the bike, no leaks that I saw.. what the.....

Did you change the front sprocket recently? The big self locking nut might have come loose and cracked it from the inside...
Had it on one of the track bikes, nut came loose and had started to grind into the cover.

Or some debris got pulled through the sprocket cover. Time to pull it off and inspect.

Same situation for me, started grinding on the inside, and as soon as I pushed the back backwards, it started cracking it open.
