L1 EXCV bypass

Instead of taking out the entire exhaust valve system and pulling the Ecm wire to avoid a fault code, how about setting the valve to full open and getting rid of the actuator cables altogether? Let the servo motor do its job (valve will remain open without cables) Anybody done this? Feedback please

No one has replied because this has been discussed literally 100s of times. Please use the search function before asking, doing research for yourself will make you more informed, which is never a bad thing.

Removed the cables and cut wire No. 30 in the ECM as it was a bitch to pull out. The bike runs beautifully, no power loss whatsoever and no lag. Exhaust note is a bit louder is all. No FI code

Re: L1 EXCV bypass

As I read the pinout diagrams, pin 5 is EXCVA select and pin 30 is blank. Are you sure you know what you're doing?
