Suspension..

Hi all new to the forum, just wanted to ask a quick question or two.. What weight rider are the forks and rear shock spurng for as standard on a 2010 1000. I am about 12 1/2 -13 stone with gear on and cant seem to get the sag. Also the front feels hard to turn in after having a go on a fireblade had to really get hung off but not noticed until then i jus rid it as it was. The front tyre was worn in on the sides when got it like a 50pence so i had a new tyre on seemed good but starting to wear on the sides again this has me wondering if its to do with front spring being too hard for my weight or too much fork oil? Cheers in advance for any answers

Re: Suspension..

The bikes are sprung for a 170# rider I think...

You can use Racetech's site to figure out spring rates.

For street use, shoot for 30mm rear sag and 35mm front sag. For track use shoot for 25mm rear and 30mm front.

Re: Suspension..

12.5 stone is about 175 lbs or so. Should be OK with stock springs.
