I was looking at the EBC-HH and Vesrah RJL or SRJL pads if anyone runs those on the streets let me know how they are. Thanks
I run SRJL - XX on my bike which gets ridden just about daily, work, commute etc...
If you don't run in the medium to faster groups at least around the track I would not recommend them.
They are horrible cold and worse in the wet, its something which needs to be considered each time I ride, hot days don't seem to be as much as an issue.
In saying that its probably not the best choice as the more heat cycles in the pads can ruin them even if they have plenty of tread. This is something I felt with my EBC HH, but it only became an issue I started going a bit quicker.
I have heard good things from the RJL compound as they have a strong initial bite which can mask the fact they are not yet up to temperature. I think them or any reputable HH/Sintered pad should be fine.
BTW 187 in a straight line can be done by anyone, banging up the gears is easy, brakes don't become an issue until heat is built up in them, if anything race pads for drag style applications aren't always favourable as they require heat to work... When I go to the quarter mile, I feather the brakes for the 1st 50-100m after I cross the line before i grab a hand full/more...
