2012 gsxr 750 midpipe and headers

Question. I got this 750 of a dude who bought the slip on yoshi and I want to do the midpipe on it. Do I need to get the rest of the full system from yoshi or can I just buy a damn midpipe. Dudes at corona Motorsports want to sell me a whole new system for 1,100. Has to be a better way?

You can just buy a midpipe off eBay or have a muffler shop make it. However, you will need to add a fuel module and a tune, due to the change in AFR, so you're looking at $700-800 on top of a $50 midpipe.

My suggestion would be to spend your money on a fuel controller and auto-tuner. You'll get lots of power this way too. If you remove the mid-pipe (there really isn't one), you'll be cutting out the SET value (butterfly exhaust valve) and catalytic converter. Now your fuel/air will be totally off. I disabled the SET valve (yanked brown wire with black stripe from ECU) and put on a Yoshi can. I just drilled out a 12mm stock O2 bung to 18 mm (see my post this forum) to get it ready for Bazzaz. I like the auto-tuner because I can change/add parts/mods and it will always have the ideal map.
