I have one, it is made of wood and bolts on. You can kinda see it in this pic. It has a headliner and a site window so I can see traffic lights. The only think I don't like about it is, it turns the interior into a resonating chamber. Turns out the car is loud AF

I am in the process of designing a roof frame that bolts on. I will then have a snap on canvas top made for that.

I'd love to try pointing that thing down the road and rolling-in as much gas as I dare. It looks totally fucking badass.
I have a quick car that's kind of the polar opposite of yours but I can't post a pic of it, as that seems to make all* the forum staff green with envy and they kind-of get all sucky in jealousy. It's pretty immature... but whatever.

It spins in first and second. It kinda hooks up in the top of second (~75 mph), and then is rock solid in 3rd and 4th. It is very stable in a straight line (long wheelbase, low CG, properly aligned). It will corner pretty fast too, but it's a little bit of a handful at the edge of lateral grip. Turns out horse carriage front suspension and a triangulated 4 link rear end isn't the greatest for cornering. Who would'a thunk that?!?!?

You mean it won't pull a 7 minute lap on the ring?
