There really isnt much that can go wrong. The airshifter kills the engine for thousandths of a second, not really enough time for damge to occur. The shifter kills the coil side, so there is always fuel there. (Unless you do a double kill, killing both fuel and coil) but then, you have an expensive drag bike, so its setup properly anyways.
